Greengage is a café that caters well to those seeking a calm spot near Parma’s train station, especially in the quieter morning hours. Its location on Viale Paolo Borsellino makes it a convenient stop for commuters and locals alike who want a high-quality coffee paired with freshly made pastries or light bites. Expect a laid-back setting with a spacious interior that feels welcoming whether you’re passing through or settling in for a study session or casual meet-up.

The café’s strength lies in its carefully crafted menu of in-house pastries and sandwiches, including standout choices like brioches and panini, which complement their coffee offerings—particularly the variations of caffe ginseng and classic cappuccino. The mix of savory options like erbazzone or spaghetti al pesto alongside coffee-friendly treats positions Greengage as a versatile spot for both a quick morning pick-me-up and a relaxed mid-morning break.

Greengage also appeals to those who appreciate a quiet corner with some intellectual comfort, thanks to the small library corner where you can browse and read while you sip. This touch adds to the local character of the place, making it a favorite among students and younger crowds looking for a thoughtful atmosphere away from busier cafes.

While pricing is a bit higher compared to some nearby businesses, the consistent quality of coffee and fresh bakery items helps justify the cost. Visiting during morning hours is ideal if you prefer a more tranquil environment; afternoons can draw a broader mix of patrons who come to linger over desserts and coffee, enjoying the calm vibe.

  • Who will enjoy it: Locals and travelers who value fresh, house-made pastries with their coffee

Excellent coffee option close to Parma train station. The pistachio cornetto was tasty. The place was very quiet during the morning. Younger crowd. Perhaps a spot for students to study or take breaks.

This interesting cafe is 1 minute away from the main railway station. It has a large open space with a very industrial yet cozy feeling. The interior is really bright as the perimeter basically all glass. There is a piano, for those who wants To play and entertain the guests, a reading corner with bookshelves, good coffee and different blends, as well as pastries, a series of dishes straight from the kitchen. The staff was really friendly.
